DIY Quartz Points Hoops Inspired by Five and Two

I was inspired to make set of silver hoops, when I spied a pair called BRYN from Five and Two and pinned it to Cool Rockin' Jewels on Pinterest.


I bought some pre-strung clear quartz points at the local Michaels, along with 2 pair of silver plated hoops.


Then, I cut off some of the quartz points.


I opened up each of the hoops.....

 
and threaded them onto the hoops. I closed them up, and they're ready for wearing!

 
Two done in less than 30 minutes. They're not an exact idea, but they're scaled just right, and not too heavy.




I have leftovers. Anyone want me to make them a pair?

Trip to Philadelphia, PA to Theatre of Living Arts to see RATT

I am a child of the 80s. I love hard rock and metal music, and have for quite some time. I have a local radio station that I adore,  103.7 WMGM Rocks  and I had the luck to win RATT tickets from them. I have been a fan of RATT  since I first saw "Round and Round"  on MTV in 1984. So.... Fast forward to March of 2017. I called and won tickets when I answered a trivia contest through 103.7. My 1980s fangrrl was super-happy when I collected my tickets. I was so excited about going to the show! How to Dye a Leather Purse with Spray Paint Color

How to color a leather purse.... This one happens to be a Prada bag. Yup, real deal. Here's the story behind this post. I bought a beautiful Prada bag at an estate sale earlier this year. Sadly, we had a fire in our house (in May 2013), and whatever could be salvaged went out to the professional cleaning service. It came back to me physically intact, and not reeking of smoke. But.... it needed (ahem) color adjustment. Step 1: Collect your supplies This step is a "no duh" step, but sometimes it really needs to be said.
