Vintage Bargain Buy Screwback Earring Restyled as an Earcuff


 I was on a lunch break earlier this week, and I stumbled onto this vintage pair of screwback crystal earrings. They were marked $3.88, but I got them for 20% off, along with some other bargain goodies. 

Anyway, I don't wear screwback or clip on earrings because they hurt my ears... but I turned them upside down (as shown in the photos).


So....I put them over the tops of my ears, and twisted the screws until they stayed put. Gravity did the rest. Selfie time!



Close up.... I got a lot of compliments at work from the other ladies. They loved my ear cuff, but they were annoyed that they were vintage.

    These look so cool! I will have to keep my eye out for something similar next time that I am at a thrift store. What a great idea to wear them as ear cuffs.

How to color a leather purse.... This one happens to be a Prada bag. Yup, real deal. Here's the story behind this post. I bought a beautiful Prada bag at an estate sale earlier this year. Sadly, we had a fire in our house (in May 2013), and whatever could be salvaged went out to the professional cleaning service. It came back to me physically intact, and not reeking of smoke. But.... it needed (ahem) color adjustment. Step 1: Collect your supplies This step is a "no duh" step, but sometimes it really needs to be said. Trip to Philadelphia, PA to Theatre of Living Arts to see RATT

I am a child of the 80s. I love hard rock and metal music, and have for quite some time. I have a local radio station that I adore,  103.7 WMGM Rocks  and I had the luck to win RATT tickets from them. I have been a fan of RATT  since I first saw "Round and Round"  on MTV in 1984. So.... Fast forward to March of 2017. I called and won tickets when I answered a trivia contest through 103.7. My 1980s fangrrl was super-happy when I collected my tickets.
