A Rare REINAD Hugs and Kisses Choker found at Glassboro Thrift Village

I had the pleasure of visiting Glassboro Thrift Village on April 3, on the way to visit family. I don't live or work near here, so I don't get to "hunt" here very often.

With a 20,000 square foot sales floor we have everything you could ask for and we are conveniently located minutes from Philadelphia in beautiful South Jersey."

 
You never know what you're going to find: video games, purses, furniture, housewares, clothing, tools, jewelry, DVDs, art..... Pretty much anything.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of finding this choker by REINAD. It was $25. According to the research I did, REINAD made very high quality costume jewelry, and is quite rare. Antiquing Online has some great info, and so does House of Francheska. I am thrilled with this piece. Even though it's approximately 60 years old, it's still edgy and modern. I love it!

How to color a leather purse.... This one happens to be a Prada bag. Yup, real deal. Here's the story behind this post. I bought a beautiful Prada bag at an estate sale earlier this year. Sadly, we had a fire in our house (in May 2013), and whatever could be salvaged went out to the professional cleaning service. It came back to me physically intact, and not reeking of smoke. But.... it needed (ahem) color adjustment. Step 1: Collect your supplies This step is a "no duh" step, but sometimes it really needs to be said. Trip to Philadelphia, PA to Theatre of Living Arts to see RATT

I am a child of the 80s. I love hard rock and metal music, and have for quite some time. I have a local radio station that I adore,  103.7 WMGM Rocks  and I had the luck to win RATT tickets from them. I have been a fan of RATT  since I first saw "Round and Round"  on MTV in 1984. So.... Fast forward to March of 2017. I called and won tickets when I answered a trivia contest through 103.7. My 1980s fangrrl was super-happy when I collected my tickets. I was so excited about going to the show!
